Drop-off in Large Plastic Bags

If you feel like it is easier for you to sort out at your home, you may borrow our Depot's large clear plastic bags

In one large bag you may put these kinds of Beverage Containers (BC)
Please keep track of the number by writing on the bag w/ marker, or on paper, or attaching a sticker

Our bags’ system is computerized. For example, when we dump pop cans in depot and their number reaches 288, the tag is printed out to close the bag. This equals 12 full blue crates. However for your convenience we decided to go w/ some even deviations

Sorting/collecting Tips for Plastic, Aluminum, Drink Boxes BC only:

  1. Only Beverage Containers (BC) that are part of the Encorp Pacific can go into bags, i.e. eligible for refund. BC purchased in the US or other provinces, unfortunately, are not part of the program, and thus we do not provide refunds. Don’t worry: 95 % of BC you bring, is from B.C. Very important! You may simply check the eligibility of a particular BC in doubt by visiting this page: All you have to do is just ENTER the bar code, and you’ll get the answer right away!
  2. How to tell which BC is accepted and not accepted?
    – BC purchased in U.S., are not acceptable. They carry Oz. (ounces) on labels. In most cases only ML or L like 335 ml. 500 ml, 1 l are OK.
    – The label should carry both English & French.
  3. Recent problemsWal-MartCostco, and other big supermarkets trend to carry new BC products imported directly from the U.S. Alas, some of them are not in the Encorp Pacific system. Sometimes markets expand faster than services adjust to such changes. So please check BC at http://www.return-it.ca/registeredbrands. So should you notice ounces, and there is NO French, most likely this container cannot be refunded.
  4. Pop (aluminum) cans and metal juice cans have to be separated. Pop can squishes in your hand, metal doesn’t.
  5. Please EXCLUDE these types of plastic & drink box BCs:

All Milk products’ drink boxes do NOT go w/ regular plastic. And YES, we do take milk containers, but do not provide refund on them
  6. All Milk Plastic Bottles, Jugs, and Jars are recycled completely separately.
  7. Please DO NOT put any GLASS BCs in plastic bags.
  8. Should you still have any questions, please DO NOT hesitate to get in touch w/ directly visiting our Bottle & Electronics Depot in Pitt Meadows, or send us an e-mail, or call us on the phone.
