Sorting Procedure
Please DO NOT dump your beverage containers on the till/register (POR cachier) counter.
This is the only major favor we ask you for. You may think that this works better, yet consider the situation, when other customers may do the same.
Sorting at the counter creates a long line in the first place, and on top of everything causes dirt and uncleanliness at the counter area. Result: loss of serving time.
The ideal way to do sorting is as follows:
  1. Grab the cart at the entrance, go back to your vehicle and place all the stuff you brought with you on the cart.
  2. Go to the sorting table and place your containers there. Please use our blue crates. Leave beverage containers like pop and beer cans in their original cases!!!
  3. Now sorting starts. We’d appreciate it if you could place all non-alcoholic beverage containers according to categories.
The major non-alcoholic kinds are: aluminum pop cans (all sizes), plastic bottles up to 1 liter, plastic bottles over 1 liter (mostly 2 liter pops), gable tops, drink boxes (small and large), glass pop drinks, drink poaches, and drinks in a metal (tin) cans.
It is very easy to tell metal from aluminum. If you squeeze a can, aluminum yields and changes form. Metal never does. Usually 24 aluminum (ALU) cans and plastic bottles fit into one blue crate.
  4. Now sorting starts. We’d appreciate it if you could place all non-alcoholic beverage containers according to categories. Sorting beer. Beer cans go to beer cans, not to pops. One blue crate equals 24 beer cans. Place beer bottles into crates, as well, or leave them in their original cases.
Our friendly TIPS/Lifehacks
  1. you can bring your empty pop drinks, beer cans, and beer bottles in original cases. You don’t need to put them into blue crates. Now all sorted stuff (or your beverage containers previously put into cases) can go to the till counter.
  2. if you have a big volume you can borrow our big clear plastic bags. Please see this brochure about how many beverage containers can fit into one plastic bag.
  3. What you can do when all tables are occupied – you may sort at your vehicle. Or you can still sort near the counter using one of our small tables to place blue crates/flats.
    Please look here

  4. One of the smartest solution to escape staying in a queue is to register as Express customer please refer to here.
We do not accept for your deposit return the beverage containers purchased in the U.S. and the other countries out of Canada border because they are not part of the BC Return-It program.
